Third Annual Dialog Dinner

The Rumi Forum, Better Understanding Club of ODU & Institute of Jewish Studies and Interfaith Understanding of ODU hosted "Third Annual Dialog Dinner".

Program started by the “adhan“ call for the prayer and following the adhan, Nathan Gragg, Associate Pastor of First Lutheran Church of Norfolk, made thanksgiving prayer.

 Following the dinner Dr. Yurtsever addressed keynote speech.

Virginia Senator Nick Rerras thanked to the Rumi Forum and Better Understanding Club to hosting such a dinner and he mentioned that Islam contributed to human history and it nice to see the Turkish American Muslim in participating and initiating the dialog activities.

Virginia Beach mayor mentioned that as a leader for the largest city of Virginia, and as a Jewish I contribute the dialog activities, she specially thanked to Rumi Forum and BUC for this event.

ODU President Dr. Runte mentioned the importance of dialog in society. She gave examples from the university students who promote dialog and mutual understanding.

Vice President of student affair Dr. Geneva Johnson-Walker expressed her feelings about the night.

Reverend Dr. Pamela Bro, Mrs. Singh the president of Hamptonroads Indian Association shared their impressions.
