In the first year since the Gulen Institute Youth Platform launched its international essay contest, it has succeeded in attracting entries from students all over the world.
More than 600 students from 53 countries and 35 states in the U.S. sent in their essays.
The topic: “The use of military means as a solution to today’s international and national political issues: Diplomacy or war, democracy or military coup?”
The Gulen Institute along with the Rumi Forum in Washington, D.C. invited winners of the essay contest on a 4-day excursion to Washington, D.C. between April 4th and April 8th.
